LiveWire is a free Windows application that, among many other things, allows you to access Microsoft's servers. Unfortunately, it is also an adware program. Once you install the program on your computer, it will continuously send emails to you and change your homepage. You can run several adware programs at the same time, but once the size of the download gets bigger, the programs will often interfere with each other, causing problems. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to remove LiveWire from your computer.
Open Internet Explorer and click the tools menu. Select "Add-ons." If you have trouble finding the add-on, go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add-ons and then click on Internet Options. You should see LiveWire there. Right-click it and select "Remove". Note that the program is not listed under "Add-ons" in the Internet Options control panel.
Another way to remove LiveWire is to completely uninstall the application. This may be a difficult task if you are not sure where the program is located. Start by going to Start -> Control Panel -> Add-Ons. Find LiveWire and click the Uninstall button. To keep it from reinstalling itself again, you should delete its folder and remove the LiveWire.exe file from your computer. To do this, you will need administrator privileges and you should use the "Safe & Remove" option to make sure the operation is safe. When you've completed the removal process, reboot your system.
